Something Brewing: Hala Tree Coffee is Coming to Waikīkī in 2026
Posted by Hala Tree Coffee on Sep 29th 2025
At Hala Tree Coffee, every cup has always started with the land. On the slopes of Mauna Loa in Kona, our trees grow under the Hawaiian sun, nurtured by rich volcanic soil and cooled by gentle ocean breezes. Each cherry is handpicked, each lot carefully processed, and each roast crafted to bring out the unique flavors of 100% Kona Coffee. From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to one thing: sharing a true farm-to-cup experience.
Now, we’re dreaming even bigger.
We’re excited to share that a new chapter is in the works—Hala Tree Coffee will be opening a café in Waikīkī at The Lilia in 2026. It’s a project still taking shape, but one we can’t stop smiling about.
Imagine stepping off the busy streets of Waikīkī and into a space where you can pause, take a breath, and connect with the story behind your coffee. A place where visitors and locals alike can taste Kona coffee as it was meant to be enjoyed—fresh, traceable, and rooted in the land where it was grown. That’s the vision we’re bringing to life.
For us, this expansion isn’t just about opening another café—it’s about creating a bridge. From our farm in Kona to our first café in Kaʻaʻawa, and soon to Waikīkī, every step has been about bringing people closer to the source. We want you to know the journey your coffee takes, from the cherry on the branch to the warm cup in your hands.
There’s still plenty of work ahead, and we’ll be sharing updates along the way. But for now, we invite you to look forward with us. In 2026, Hala Tree Coffee will be waiting for you in Waikīkī—ready to welcome you with aloha, a smile, and of course, a cup of Kona’s finest.
