At Hala Tree Coffee, every roast tells a story of the land, the process, and the people behind the beans. Our new Roaster’s Choice Collection brings those stories to life through the palates of our own roasting team.
Each roaster chose their personal favorite three distinct expressions of 100% Kona Coffee, each grown, processed, and roasted right here on our family estate overlooking the Kona coast. This curated set invites you to experience the full spectrum of our craft, from rich and comforting to bright and elegant.
Honey Dark Roast – Kat’s Pick
Tasting Notes: Roasted Chestnuts • Marzipan • Cocoa Nibs • Fresh Cedar • Bittersweet Chocolate • Pipe Tobacco
Kat’s favorite for a reason — our Honey Dark Roast is rich, full-bodied, and deeply satisfying. Crafted with honey-processed beans, this roast offers layers of roasted chestnut, marzipan sweetness, and earthy warmth. Expect a bold, spicy finish with a smooth, lingering depth that makes each sip feel timeless.
Maragogype – Marissa’s Pick
Tasting Notes: Honey • Peach • White Grape • Bergamot • Hops
Known for its large “elephant beans,” Maragogype is one of the rarest varietals we grow — and Marissa’s favorite. This refined and elegant coffee shines with a delicate balance of natural sweetness and fruit-forward brightness. Notes of honey and peach meet crisp white grape and bergamot, finishing with a subtle herbal complexity that lingers beautifully.
Red Bourbon – Brian’s Pick
